10.Dumas Beach, Gujarat

The Dumas beach is said to be one of the most haunted places in India. The Hindus burn their dead bodies on the beach and it is as believed that the wind around this area is full of spirits of dead people. Many locals have complained to have heard weird voices while walking along the beach. Some tourists have been known to have disappeared while taking walks on the beach at night.
Dumas beach is a popular beach that is located in the state of Gujarat. It is 16 km away from the Athwa gate in the south near Surat City. Dumas beach is popular as a popular haunted place in India. Dumas beach is the home of many spirits because it is a windy place and spirits normally roam in these kinds of areas. Again the Hindus have their old tradition of burning the dead bodies at the beaches which also acts as one of the main reasons for Dumas beach to be a haunted area or the dwelling house of the spirits. It is said that if anyone walk at the beach during the night he/she will positively able to hear a number of sounds. It is also in news that a number of people have already disappeared while taking night walks at the beach. There are many other tourist spots at Dumas that include the temple of Dariya Ganesha. It is located adjacent to the Dumas beach. There are also several food shops that sell snacks like Pav Bhaji, Lashkari tomato bhajiya, Chinese and the famous Sweetcorn that is roasted on charcoal. Many restaurants are also located at Dumas beach that sells Chinese and Indian food. Some of the restaurants have vegetarian foods to offer. Restrooms can easily be available at Muraji Desai Circle.

The ruins of Bhangarh Fort in the Rajasthan state in India are known for being the most hunted place in this south Asian country. While it’s understandable that not all people believe in ghosts, there are warnings at all entry points to the Bhangarh Fort advising people not to venture into the city at night. In fear that something terrible could happen, some of the signs posted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) not only advise against, but literally prohibit visitors from entering Bhangarh Fort at night. The sign reads in Indian language: “Entering the borders of Bhangarh before sunrise and after sunset is strictly prohibited.” If you are a ghost hunter or like visiting mysterious places, especially those known to be haunted by ghosts.
8.Delhi Cantt

That is my Favorited place. India’s capital city of New Delhi has its own share of ghosts and ghost stories! Delhi is well connected with other parts of the country via road-links, rail networks and airways. Therefore travellers do not face many hassles in an effort to meet Delhi’s most famous ghost or more appropriately ‘ghostess’! The area around Delhi Cantt is said to be haunted by a vengeful spirit of a lady, clad in white dress, who asks motorists for lift and then suddenly disappears!

Although not well known, GP block of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh has been reported as a haunted place. On a number of occasions, four guys have been seen sitting inside a house with a single candle lighted and drinking beer. It happens to be the most common sight for people passing through that area. Some of them also said that they have even seen girls in red dress coming out of the house. The house is double-storeyed and people have seen the boys sitting on the roof-top. People have stopped going to that place now.
6.Vrindavan Society, Thane

As per said by local people and who check this place said that a man had committed suicide in one of the buildings in Vrindavan Society (Bldg. No.66 B).The security guards patrolling the area have come across weird happenings. Once a guard was slapped so hard that he got up from his chair and hit the other guard who was nearby him thinking he was the one who hit him.
5.Brijraj Bhavan Palace in Kota, Rajasthan
The 178-year-old Brij Raj Bhavan Palace of the former princely family of Kota in Rajasthan, which was converted into a heritage hotel in the 1980s has a resident ghost, namely that of Major Burton, who, while serving as the British Resident to Kota, was killed by Indian sepoys during the 1857 Mutiny.
The sepoys killed Major Burton and his two sons in the central hall of the building. The former maharani of Kota told British journalists in 1980 that she used to see Major Burton frequently, as the room in which he was killed, was being used as her drawing room then. An elderly man with a cane in his hand, ghost of Major Burton does not harm anybody. But during his night visit, if any of the guards are sleeping or dozing, Major Burton gives them a slap.
4.Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal

A number of murders have taken place in the Dow Hill forest that has left an eerie feeling in the atmosphere. Many locals have also heard footsteps in the corridors of Victoria Boys School during the December-March vacations. Woodcutters claim to have seen a headless young boy walking and then disappearing into the trees. All these things make this place one of the most haunted places in India.
3.D’souza Chawl, Mahim, Mumbai

A well in the D`souza Chawl of Mahim is notorious for being eerie. It is said that a woman, while getting water from the well, fell to her death.
At night, ever since this demise many people allege to have seen a blue apparition of a woman near the well.A harmless ghost, but a ghost all the same. The sight of the woman of the well freaks the neighbors out.
2.Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad

Hyderabad – Ramoji Film City – It is a big film city in Hyderabad,(like universal studios) the hotels in Ramoji film city are haunted. They say that the film city is built on war grounds of the Nizam sultans. Witnesses report the lights kept on top keep .falling off, the light men- who sit with the lights on top have been pushed so many times and many have had grievous injuries. The food left in rooms also gets scattered around the room and strange marks are left on the mirror, some script…. resembling Urdu…the language spoken by the sultans. Girls are the ghosts’ favorite to haunt. They trouble the girls so much, they tear their clothes, knock on the bathroom doors while the outside doors are locked. They create havoc. Many preventive measures have been taken to prevent hauntings……but of no use…they keep coming back after sometime
1.Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune

It is said that full moon nights are very much haunted in Shaniwar Wada Fort, Pune. According to an old story, this fort is haunted by the ghost of Narayanrao Peshwawho was cruelly assassinated by one of his uncle Raghunathrao in 1773.
Jambhul Darwaja or Narayan Darwaja (Narayan's Gate) carried out Narayanrao’s corpse where his ghost can be heard shrieking, “Kaka mala vachva!” (Uncle, save me), in the middle of the night. A shrieking prince will give you the goose bumps – a place to be experienced!
